Natalie is the Founding Director of the Strategic Design MBA program at Philadelphia University and is a published author: the editor of Strategic Design Thinking: Innovation in Products, Services, Experiences and Beyond and a regular contributor to INC.com online magazine on creativity and design thinking.

Topic: Inventiveness, Play and The Future of Learning
The field of education has been wildly disrupted in the past 10 years, and the tsunami effect is only just beginning. Educators, administrators and technologists must remain buoyant while also developing environments that help students to thrive. To do this, we must think through possible future scenarios around the future of work and how those narratives link back to our systems for learning. Natalie will explore connections between the future of work and the future of learning and leave us with alternative paradigms to ponder and hopefully begin applying.

Cancellation Policy
Registration cancellations received in writing on or prior to May 1, 2017, will be refunded, less a $75 (USD) processing fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after May 1, 2017. A check refund will be issued for all cancellations received 90 days after registration. No refunds will be granted for no-shows. Please send any information regarding cancellation via email to k12conference@blackbaud.com.

Substitution Policy
Replacement of a registered K-12 UC attendee by a business colleague/co-worker will be accepted. One substitution per registration will be allowed at no charge if submitted by May 1, 2017. Beginning May 2, 2017, a $75 USD processing fee will apply to all substitutions before the event and onsite. Original registrant must submit a written request for substitution to k12conference@blackbaud.com. A Blackbaud staff member will then contact the original registrant for more information on the substitute attendee. Payments for substitutions must be made before arriving onsite.

What are the prerequisites for participation?

There are no prerequisites to attend.

Is advanced preparation required?

No advanced preparation is required. Hands-on sessions require that you bring your personal laptop. Be sure to check the session descriptions for more information.

How are the number of CPE credits determined?

CPE credits are granted based on a 50-minute hour. Participants are eligible for 1 CPE credit for every 50 minutes of instruction attended.

  • 1 hour sessions are eligible for 1 CPE credit
  • 2 hour sessions are eligible for 2 CPE credits

Is CPE credit automatically awarded?

No. CPE credit is not automatically awarded. Letters or certificates of completion are available upon successfully completing a class. You are responsible for submitting this information to the State Boards of Accountancy.

The conference is three full days of learning—best practices, hands-on training, and collaboration with more than 850 of my peers. Blackbaud K-12 “ON” Hackathon The Blackbaud Application Programming Interface (API) allows you to code your own solutions on top of the API or to update or download data from the “ON” products. Join attendees from other schools who are using the API, or who are exploring it for the first time at our first Hackathon. Bring your laptop and your code (or ideas). This is not a formal presentation but rather an opportunity to cooperate and learn from others. While you don’t need to be an expert programmer, some programming experience is required to use the API. If you’re stuck and your peers cannot help, someone from Blackbaud will be on hand to answer the tricky questions.
